| Intro
This book is aimed at the computer beginner and intermediate
user. It is packed with useful information and hundreds of full color
drawings and illustrations. This book not only covers upgrading any
computer component you can think off, or accessory, but also gives
the reader knowledge of how each part of a computer works and what
its for.
Highs
Did I say full color, this book is almost a work of art and easily
sets a new standard for the industry in how a computer guide is illustrated.
Don't be fooled into thinking all those illustrations leave no room
for worthwhile text. Far from it, the text is well written,
informative and free of unnecessary technical jargon.
Lows None, nothing, zero. Conclusion Que the publishers of
this work now cover the entire spectrum of computer users from the
very beginner, to Intermediate and finally the advanced user.
Repairs, upgrades and expanding your computer, with this book and Scott
Mueller's ( we are not worthy) Upgrading and Repairing PCs 12th
edition, we can think of nothing that's not covered. I would recommend
anyone that needs to build, re-build, repair or maintain a
computer to buy this book. Home users and those looking after small
office computer systems are well covered. I especially liked the
watch out section of each of the guides. Those wishing to know more
details of an advanced nature need look no further than Scotts master
work on the subject. |
