The Canon BJC 8200 uses no less than six
separate ink tanks to supply its printer heads. This means that single
tanks only have to be replaced individually when their ink runs out. This
offers a saving over other printers that have one large ink tank, holding
three colours which need replacing when just one colour ink runs out. It
is worth mentioning that Canons software will inform you when the ink
level in any tank is down to around the 20% mark. The tanks themselves are
transparent as well allowing you to check visually their contents. The
cost of each tank of ink is around £9. The printer heads are separate from
the ink tanks and cost around £70 and should be good for some 5000 pages

The price of the Printer cartridge with 6
ink tanks in the US would appear to be $99, according to Canon UK you will
need a new print cartridge approximately ever 5000 pages! This is is to
replace worn out printer heads. |
