MGI, makers of VideoWave – the
world's most popular consumer video editing software – have
released MGI Cinematic, a ground-breaking application
that automates the PC video editing process and ‘does all the work for
you’. Cinematic is designed specifically for users new to the world of
video, old users will be happy to, and includes
easy capturing (from any source), editing and publishing capabilities, to
create fun-filled movies with music and special effects. MGI Cinematic
is available from leading software retailers at
£49.99 inc VAT.
Video software with the inspiration built in!
Combining MGI’s proven digital video
expertise with new software technology for unprecedented ease-of-use, MGI
Cinematic provides three different modes for movie editing, each catering
to users’ different levels of experience:
For the complete novice, there is CineMagic™, a
breakthrough technology that lets the user sit back while their raw video
footage and favourite music are automatically transformed into a polished,
fully edited production. The user simply selects one of the many styles
included in the program – from a pop video to an old-time movie – and
CineMagic™ organises the clips, adds special effects and transitions
between scenes, and sets the tempo to create a complete, finished
production. |

| For the
more adventurous, Cinematic’s StoryBuilder™ mode provides a step-by-step
wizard that guides the user through the creation of their own personal
documentary. By selecting a template such as Children’s Birthday Party,
Wedding, Christmas, etc, and then answering a few simple questions on
screen, a structured storyboard is assembled automatically, including
slick introductions, animated text, video overlays and background music.
The user simply has to add their video clips to create a professional,
finished masterpiece.
Finally, Cinematic includes an option for users who are
more familiar with the video editing process and gives them the option to
create their own videos from scratch – or hone the results of a movie that
has been automatically generated in Cinematic. The software contains a
comprehensive library brimming with transitions and 2D and 3D special
effects, plus an audio and text editor.
Stephen Mold, MGI’s European managing
director, said, “MGI recognises that users may not have the time spend
hours spicing up their movies, or the experience or knowledge of computers
to fully understand traditional video software. With this new technology,
the user simply shoots the video, and Cinematic makes the movie for them!"
MGI Cinematic takes in video footage
from analogue and digital (DV) sources, and supports all popular output
formats to produce movies for easy transfer to PC, tape, the web, Video CD
or DVD.
Ihor
Petelycky, chief product strategist, MGI, said, “For the millions of
camcorder owners that would like to make better movies, but may not know
how or have the time to learn, Cinematic is the answer. Once again, MGI
has identified an emerging video user with a unique set of needs. While
Cinematic borrows some key features from VideoWave, it essentially caters
for a different customer. It is video software with creative inspiration
included in the box. With VideoWave you can become Spielberg and create a
blockbuster. With Cinematic, Spielberg is built in!" |
