Intro
VideoWave 4 arrived here a few weeks ago, we were very
interested in this package basically because we reviewed its number 3
version some time ago and wished to see what was new. VideoWave 4 offers
in an easy as way as possible the amateur video market a way to record
video and then edit it with the final output to any number of multimedia
formats, mpeg 1 and 2 being amongst them.
What's New
Scene detection, for automatic splitting of video clips.
Time warp your videos by speeding up or slowing down the action. New video
templates, including those for producing Real Video and MVW. Publish video
to online services on the web. Brand new content, intro clips and
matching, key able overlays on dozens of subjects: home, business, kids,
vacation, occasions, events. Plus many many more.
Highs
First of all the all important installation went
without a hitch, if only all software was this easy to set up! We began
testing this latest version by recording from our TV card, firstly just 30
second clips, we then moved on to 10 minute lengths and finally a whole 30
minute program. again this was achieved without any problems at all. If
anything it all seemed just a bit to easy. We were then able to edit, cut
and move around the video sections with ease. These were then put together
in the form of a finished video. Output was to mpeg 1. We were to say the
least very impressed.
Lows
None.
Conclusion
If anything this program left me with the view that both
the amateur and with this release the semi professional market has a
product fully capable of producing short videos, on what is effectively
modest hardware. The only limits for this product are set by your own
imagination. |
